This book was an assignment on Multiplicity. Comparing two texts about Picasso, one that analyzes his life and work and one that contains only his words. One quote is stating how "everyone wants to understand art", which is exactly what the other book is about. What happens when we take the art away from the explanation? Using the text analyzing the works, the words frame a negative space that implies a missing piece. The work that belongs in that space can be located on the next page without the explanation. If we can love other things without trying to understand them, why can't we love art without trying to understand it?
